Jurian and Marjolein are such a gorgeous Dutch couple. They chose a wedding in a Tuscany farmhouse, in the shadow of a large oak tree. Me and Duccio left Florence and in two hours we arrived in the rustic Podere Bonsecco. The heat was strong but both us and the couple were enthusiastic. While Duccio was busy with the photos of the bride’s preparation, I went to the garden where I found the big oak and I started photographing details. The set up by Anita, the wedding planner, was lovely.
The guests, mostly Dutch and English, arrived. Despite the hot July weather, everyone was sporting sober and elegant outfits. The symbolic ceremony begun. A simple, serene ceremony where, every now and then, some laughter was calming the anxiety of the moment. After that we went for the aperitif by the pool where the spouses could relax. We returned to the shadow of the big oak for couple portraits: intimate, natural and spontaneous photos. Then we took a bit of group photos with relatives and friends before sitting for the dinner.
The area where the tables were placed was stunning. An aisle with a large Tuscan olive-tree between the two stone buildings of the farm, all lightened by bulbs hanging from long wires. So suggestive! We took a bit of reportage photos from the dinner, friends’ speeches and the cut of the cake. For the party we moved to a shack that was converted to a colorful ballroom and bar. The music was dance with sax accompaniment and it was phenomenal! Everyone had fun!
A wonderful day, a fantastic wedding in tuscany at farmhouse. And again thanks to Duccio, who gave me the opportunity to join him for this wedding in the Tuscan countryside.
