Elegant Wedding at Villa Grabau

Villa Grabau is a very beautiful and elegant wedding venue in Tuscany.
It is a neoclassical villa, and it is still inhabited by the Grabau family to this day. The villa is located close to Lucca, a beautiful city with medieval walls and the famous Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, built on top of the ruins of an ancient Roman amphitheater. Villa Grabau is, no doubt, a perfect place to have your destination wedding in Tuscany.

Natascha and Gianluca, these beautiful spouses, are a lovely couple born in Switzerland with Italian origins. Italy has always been close to their hearts – therefore, they decided to have a Destination Wedding in Italy.
Natasha cares for elegance a lot, and an elegant wedding at Villa Grabau was – needless to say – the perfect choice for this stunning couple!

The wedding ceremony took place in the main hall of the villa, located on the ground floor. This was a different – yet really beautiful – choice from the classic wedding ceremony in the garden of the villa.

What a beautiful contrast between the artificial lights of the ancient chandeliers and the natural light coming from the large windows allowed us to shoot some unique colors and black and white photographs during the ceremony.

After that We shot the couple portrait session in the gardens of Villa Grabau – with some stunning golden light, naturally!

The wedding reception took place in the orangery of Villa Grabau, and it was simply impeccable. The icing on top of the cake? A really fun and lively party to end the wedding day perfectly!

Moreover, A couple of months before the ceremony, we had a pre-wedding photo session in Lucca with them as well. Even if it was raining a bit during our shoot, we had a lot of fun – and got some really interesting couple portraits as well!
